We are pleased to announce the call for proposals and volunteers for the annual conference.  We invite you to submit program proposals for the annual conference and volunteer for the planning committee.

Our educational program sessions will be organized into three themed one-hour program blocks:

Our Students

  • Programs in this block may include, but are not limited to, student development theory, best practices for student support, supporting different student populations, and research on student outcomes

Our Skills

  • Programs in this block may include, but are not limited to, examples of best practices in our work and at our institutions, teach-ins about technology, or skill-building workshops to enhance our professional development

Our Community

  • Programs in this block may include, but are not limited to, sessions about the student affairs community in Washington, DC, the United States, or around the world.  We especially welcome proposals about the unique institutional types present in the District.

Proposals should include a title, 100-word abstract that will be published in the conference program, a demonstrable link to the ACPA/NASPA professional competencies, a detailed program description with strong conceptual framework, and selection into one or more of the thematic areas above.
